The Collomix KR160HF “Bird Cage” stirrer is an all-new paddle. This stirrer is made for large batches of compounds. The diameter is even larger than the KR140HF (the size below). It’s designed to be used with the Xo 6 heavy duty power mixer. The stirrer has welded joints for reinforced durability. What Does “KR” Mean?
All “KR/”Bird Cage” stirring paddles are intended to be used for semi-liquid mixing materials. Ideally, this stirrer should be used to mix grouting and sealing compounds, fillers, thick plasters, leveling materials, and adhesive mortar. It can also be used to mix paste, coverings, epoxy-resin, thin-bed mortar, gypsum plaster, and tile adhesive. Because it is designed for semi-liquid mixtures it has a side-to-side mixing action. This allows sufficient mixing (adequately mixing the heavier substances from the bottom of the bucket) while still avoiding splashes and air pockets.
What Does “160” Signify?
The “160” in a Collomix stirrer model number indicates that it should ideally be used with the Xo 6. The greater diameter of the actual paddle makes it suitable for extra large batches of material compounds.
What Does “HF” Tell Me?
“HF” is the acrynom for HexaFix, Collomix’s Quick Couple technology. The HexaFix system replaces the M14 coupling technology. The HexaFix makes it quick, easy, and not too messy to change paddles in middle of a job, to attach and detach the stirrer, and to clean up, dismantle, and transport the paddle.
